OpenCart owns the catalog
Products, categories, prices, availability, orders and checkout remain in your OpenCart installation.
For OpenCart store teams
Kynetra Cache adds a carefully gated search path for your public product catalog. Your store stays the source of truth; if the index is incomplete or unavailable, OpenCart's native search stays in the flow.
No order, payment, or customer records move into the search index.
01 / The handoff
Keep product edits and merchandising in the admin your team already uses. Kynetra Cache syncs public product and category data, then only uses an accelerated search result when the index can prove it is ready.
Products, categories, prices, availability, orders and checkout remain in your OpenCart installation.
Store, language, status and availability are checked against OpenCart when supported search runs.
Proven coverage can serve supported search. If coverage is uncertain or KynetraDB unavailable, return to native search.
Designed to fail back. An incomplete index should not hide matching products. OpenCart remains authoritative.
02 / A small preview
Filter this tiny local example. It is illustrative sample data—not connected to a store, KynetraDB, or benchmark.
Try “jacket”, “canvas”, or “bottle”.
03 / Clear boundaries
A focused catalog adapter should make its responsibilities easy to understand. Here is what stays put, and what the extension is designed to do.
Stays with OpenCart
Catalog edits, prices, inventory, checkout, orders, customer accounts, taxes and payment processing continue to belong to OpenCart and the services you use.
Kynetra Cache adds
Public product and category indexing plus a supported search route that returns product names and links only. Product detail, prices and taxes remain native. Requests with filters, sorting or pagination stay on native search. No speed claim is made here.
04 / Evidence before claims
A meaningful comparison needs equal catalog data, matching filters and correct results through real OpenCart requests—not a chart that looks convincing.
No representative 20,000-product OpenCart benchmark has been completed for this page. We are not publishing latency, throughput, savings, or before-and-after claims.
Next evidence: extract the representative catalog into an isolated fixture, then compare native and enabled-extension requests on the same real data. Verify result correctness and fallback behavior first.
05 / Before any install
Package availability and a broader compatibility matrix are not confirmed. Keep the first evaluation separate from your live catalog and checkout.
Visit KynetraDB ↗The manifest specifies OpenCart 4.0.2.x. Local integration evidence covers 4.0.2.3; broader compatibility is not established. PHP 8.1+ with curl and json extensions is required.
Use an HTTPS staging endpoint and project API key. Keep credentials out of source control, screenshots and shared notes.
The integration needs durable state tables, a direct MySQL/MariaDB session per request, and shared writable OpenCart storage across web nodes. Multiplexed connection pools are not supported; ask your administrator to review database grants. Imports or raw SQL that bypass OpenCart product/category models require a full Reindex and coverage check before relying on accelerated search.
When one is approved, install it with OpenCart Extensions > Installer, configure the HTTPS endpoint, API key and unique site key, then complete a full reindex and verify coverage on staging. No downloadable package is offered here; do not install an unreviewed archive on a live store.

06 / Plain answers
No. OpenCart remains authoritative for catalog data and continues to own checkout, orders and commerce workflows.
Supported search is gated on proven coverage. If that proof is missing or stale, the extension is designed to use native OpenCart search instead.
No approved package is linked here. Availability and broader compatibility still need confirmation.
No. The 20,000-product scenario is pending a representative, correctness-checked comparison through real OpenCart requests.
